Behold! The Kingrow EP that inspired n-Somnia to make a comeback a few months after its release. We bring you "Digital Distortion"!
#1 - FLEE TO THE WILDERNESS
It sounds a little like it comes from a suspense thriller. The title is a reference to a passage in the Bible, regarding either the Exodus or the endtimes. I used a vocal sample ("I'm bustin' out.") to help add to the ambience.
#2 - DELUGE
This track uses a drum loop I created as far back as 1999 as its main backbone. There are also a couple guitar loops. One is a 'talk box', which was a downloaded loop, while the other 'wah pedal' loop was one I recorded myself in either 1999 or 2000. The title comes from the name of a Transformers toy, which changes colour if you add water to it.
#3 - WAVELINK
One of my most experimental tracks ever, and the record-holder for longest Kingrow song, knocking "Lint" out of its throne. It runs about 29 seconds longer. This song doesn't have a drum track, like "Winter Heart", but goes off in all sorts of directions throughout the track. The bassline is the only thing that doesn't really change much, but everything else you hear is bound to distract you from that fact.
#4 - THE FOCUS
The main bassline is an edited version of one I had sitting on the hard drive for a few years. It took me a while to think of what I could do with it. The title comes from one of the levels in the id Software game, "Doom II: Hell on Earth".
NEXT EPISODE - "KOLORZ OF THE RAYNBO".
